Yuna was mine. I made her do nothing but heal, so the rest of my party [Mostly Tidus and Lulu] could keep going on

Tidus and Yuna were the most useful to me. They never left my party, which is why they went through almost every part of the sphere grid, if not all. Although, every character was pretty useful in the begining, except maybe Rikku and Kimari.

As for everyone becoming the same in the end; I don't think most people actually level up. My opinion, maybe I feel most gamers these days are lazy and just want the game to be over. I on the other hand, have to much free time on my hands, but I'm not complaining! [=

I was extremely saddened by the fact that Kimahri was next to useless in this game, and Tidus was the most useful character, it should have been the other way around

I kind of feel the same. You could go however you wanted about his leveling up process. I think Rikku should have been in the middle zone though. Not to say Kimahri have theif ability, but you get the idea.

For me the best was rikku because she could mix those items and come out with amazing results.

Riku was absolutely crap until you'd already finished the game. Unless you use a teleport sphere to move her over to someone elses sphere grid path. Otherwise it take's forever to get her as strong as everyone else.
And she doesn't even level up fast than everyone else to begin with to make up for her lack of any sort of strength or defensive power.

yeeeeah Rikku didn't do much of anything for me, and the mixing thing was okay, but you had to wait for overdrive, then figure out which items made the best combinations, which could've taken forever, especially if you had no clue what each item did (fortunately I had a partial clue, although some I had to experiment with) but if you got the right party together, you could kick some serious ass. the only real use I had for Rikku was all of her Al Bhed Potions. ahhhhh they were a blessing.

Tidus, Yuna and Auron.

Tidus: He is the main character and you need him to swim and such and his attacks was always desent. (until i got his las weapon which crushes everything)
Yuna: She can heal, summon (Yojimbo, what a god) and do all kinds of support magic.

Most useful character for me was Auron. He had alot of HP and saved my life so many times it's not funny, he also very strong

My other useful character was Yuna, i made her my main damage dealer, she did 9999 a hit with her rod and 9999 with all black magic too, but of course this was later in the game, Auron saved me from start to finish.

My most useful Final Fantasy X character were. Rikku, Yuna, and Auron. They are my three favorite FFX character. They are also my strongest.

Rikku . Mix is just imba , seriously only with her you can play no grind game
for the sake of just finish the game ( no power level to kill big boss or big stuff) , I think everybody is useful , except Kimari yes everyone know he sux Auron for heavy armoured fiend and tank , Yuna for summon and heal power , maybe attack with Holy later , Lulu for physical resistant stuff and elemental weaknest , Wakka and Tidus both high agile figher and good damage dealer with the overdrive and can fight underwater . Rikku can mix some Trio 999 for easy boss ownage

Throughout most of the earlier parts of the game, Auron's been pretty useful because of Sentinel. I used Protect and Regen on him while he took hits for my other characters (I like to rob my enemies clean). Yuna's probably the most useful though because of Summon, and she's a much better mage than Lulu. Damn, she is strong.

I tend to give all my characters a turn in battle though so that they gain experience.

Early in the game Yuna and Auron. Latterly (against the dark Aeons, Penance etc) Wakka and Tidus.

Although tecnicly, Yuna is by far the most effective character period once you've completed the side quest at The Cavern Of The Stolen Fayth.

i busted all of the locks, and completed the whole sphere grid with EVERYONE, including placing my own nodes for maxing out all the stats...takes roughly 400 hours....alot of time in the calm lands...and the omega ruins for sphere levels

Would have to be Auron, Tidus, and Yuna. That combination for me was strong at first, but then when Yuna was captured each freakin time, Lulu stepped in and I was pretty strong. It all depends on if you train them equally or unequally, but Auron would still be the strongest.
