The Room of Mist

I give a thanks to Akira for her answer to this question but I have defeated all the Espers and the Marks and nothing has happened in this odd room.

My quetion to you all is what is the room that is right after site 5 and 6 in the Lhusu mines? The enemies there are the prey mantis things and zombies, bats, and Dark Lords. All at a level 60 range. The only thing in this room is a bunch of boxes, a few mine carts, a bug clearing like a window at the back of the room (I'm thinking that something comes thruogh that, somethng big), and a whole ton of mist. The room right before this odd room is just like a rest station with a regular save crystal.

If anyone knows or has any information to this room it would be a big help. It's the last thing I have to do in the game.

Well I found it out. For all those in need of help of this room....It's only for a mark. The mark is Man on the Bridge.

Yeah.. It's for Gilgamesh. It's in marks and after defeating the marks and given approval from Montblanc... You should be able to fight him. It's in three stages though.

I was at a level around 99 when I fought him so he was really easy. But it says that after the first phase on the bridge he gets harder in the Room of Mist. And don't think you've finnished him off when you defeat him on the bridge. That's the reason for the Mist room.

yeah.. You don't kill him off right away... there are three locations you fight him in.

Three? Don't tell me I haven't finnished him. I already got the mission complete and I know I didn't really kill him since he took his sword so.........................where do I find him next?!?!?!?

correction; there are only 2 times that you have to fight him.
Once it on the brigde, like the 'mark' says - and this is the easier encounter to engage and beat.
The 1st battle I mainly targetted his dog companion, to get him out of the way sooner and then focus on him.
After the battle, he retreats into the room of mist (i thought it sounded familiar ^^). That's the staging point for the final battle between u guys.. or is it!?
The battle (final) was a little bit harder for me, but I wasn't level 99 like u say u are, so i'm sure u didn't have a hard time. He uses more status-effect attacks that takes longer to cure.. they're more of a pain really. He also has a stronger "limit" attack that can kill if ur not careful.

After the battle though, besides the reward for the hunt, you really don't get anything special. The sword he leaves behind is left in the ground - u can examine it - but that's it. After you leave the area, it shows a cut-scene of Gilgamesh coming back, taking his sword and vanishing - leaving u thinking he's still alive obviously. You don't encounter him again though. Too bad u didn't get to obtain one of those nifty swords he was weilding - one of them looked like the buster sword and I think he had the gun-blade too.

I never got how you could proceed in Lhusu? There's only one switch and that one don't open no door.

what do you mean? there were several switches weren't there? I actually hated going through Lhusu, but it's an awesome way to get exp and license points.

it's kinda complicated, or not really - but i've somewhat forgot exactly how u get it.
There's one hunt - the one that involves that flying bat-creature that's preying on young children in Bhujerba. To actually get to that hunt, the kid that petitions the hunt gives u an access key, which grants u access into the deeper part of the mines. After u get access to that new part, u can find the mark + discover the bridge where u make the 1st encounter w/ Gilgamesh.
^ I think this is the right sequence of events - like I said i'm a big 'foggy' on the situation, I haven't done that part but once and I haven't played it in awhile.
Like u guys reccomended for another seeking help on 12 - there's always gamefaqs.com, eh?

Yeah, well I wasn't seeking help. I was just thinikng out loud. I haven't finished all the hunts yet ...but thanks anyway..figured it had something to do with hunts..

I actually jsut finished the first part of Gelgamish yesterday. To move on to the room in the back you have to get the site 11 acess key which is located on the Phon Coast, during one of the hunts a child dropped the acess key from Bhujerba. It dropped next to the guy who fell form Bhujerba, its a small golden sparkle to HIS left, or you're right, on the gorund. He's in the hunt club area of the Phon Coast up close to the Cartographer Moogle.
