I thought that X was a lot better because of the sphere grid and more charchters to play with. X-2 i thought was just plain Retarded

Obviously people are allowed their own opinions and what-not but I think a lot of people took the game the wrong way. The FF series has been morbid for a longtime and X-2 was something a bit different, sadly enough I know there's plenty of people who gave up on the game simply after seeing the intro which is pretty pathetic ifyou ask me. Personally I thuoght the intro was awesome, it was just so stupid and tongue-in-cheek and straight away you knew it wasn't going to be teh sam ol' same ol' form the FF series. I preferred it X but I liked both, I just though the new direction they took for the game was a welcome break.

X-2 was not in any way better than X. The story line for X was intertaining the characters were pretty well and overall it was a very good game.

X-2; lacked in story, characters, and just overall it was bad. Yeah, tidus is gone and the battle system was good but that does not make it better than X.

X-2 was really fun for me, I'll give you that, but FFX has remained, and will remain, my favorite out of the two. The only thing that might get FFX-2 even a smidgen closer would be the fact that it had a lot of extra fun stuff to do, and I loved 1000 Words. Gooood song.

Forgot that, 1000 words was the other good thing (apart from battle) it had going. Love that song.

I agree with pretty much everything stated here.

Except that I truly hate FFX. I hated most of the characters except for Auron, and I know FF has it's fair share of melodramatic moments but....please. I found X to be very shallow, and I wasn't sucked into the whole affair at all. Yuna annoyed me greatly in X, cause she acted like a little zombie wind-up doll doing what everyone else told her to do. In X-2 she was a free spirit.

I actually love X-2. For a lot of what Yaguchi said. It wasn't supposed to be some epic quest, and it was never trying to be that serious either. X was trying to be all epic and serious and all I got was melodrama and 'wah wah, i hate my daddy'. X-2 wasn't trying to be epic or take itself seriously, it was there to have fun, so it owns.

I loved Real Emotion (The Beginning Song). It really caught my attention.

yup that song was very good. But it still doesn't help the game being good at all.

music isn't enough of a factor when i game for me to ever use it is a valid reason to choose one game over another. the best FF song of all time was eye's on me. closely followed by the song in the X intro.

i don't know/care about which japanese popstar sung the songs for FF. as i said, they don't make a difference to me.

When the clouds grow dark, the air turns cold.
When I'm scared and cry like a child.
You're there at my side, like a knight of old,
To calm me and hold me a while.
