Brother was creepy is what he was. Consider...
Brother liked Yuna. Brother was Rikku's brother. Their father, Cid, was Yuna's mother's brother (i.e. Cid was Yun'a uncle). That makes Brother and Yuna cousins. Brother was romantically interested in his own cousin. Eww... |

Rikku was about the only thing worth playing for, the end of the game was far too rushed. I mean, when you come into contact with the Magus Sisters...I mean, seriously, that battle was NOT needed. I past the game at level 40, or below. Pathetic -- and this was a reason why FFXII was released later?
It seemed that the main aspect of the game was...just mini games... |

X-2 was terrible. I found it fun to play when I just wanted to unwind and relax, but that was because it lacked a plot so all I had to do was play mini-games. Yuna and Rikku's characters changed pretty drastically. It sucks how cool characters like Gippal and Baralai didn't have a chance in the FF series because X-2 was such a bad game.
Anywho, I thought that FFX was a great game. Great graphics, plot, and music, but the characters were so-so.

Whoever made this thread needs to read Sar's proper etiquitte. Or however it's spelled.
Also, ADD A POLL. You don't need a reason to hate X-2. It just "sucks." and that's good enough for me. Now I will say, Rikku looked much sexier in X-2 than X. But not even her prancing around naked in her socks would make X-2 better than X, FTW. I'm glad I'm not the forum jackass anymore...

Which is odd really since FFX-2, with its job system and mission based gameplay, makes it closer to the original premise of the series than anything after FFIII.
Although it's probably understandable in that a lot of people haven't played a game before VII. |

Agreed. If you hate the game, you must have a reason, otherwise you're an idiot or actually like it and are just wanting to look cool. I know I can give reasons as to why I don't like the game.

Iv just realised what a horrendous mistake I made with this thread. I have just started to play on X again (the 1st time in 3 years) because I got really board with KHII (stupid Disney) And since 4pm on monday to 3am wednesday I have spent 24 hours on the game. So I will disagree with myself and say that X is a hell of a lot better than X-2.
But I still like X-2 a lot :P |

Everyone I know who's played the game says about that same thing. But, as the hardcore Final Fantasy Fan that I am, I bought it. I played it -- and still will be proud to own the game, after I try and work out what was so good about it in the first place.

I'l be honest and say that a few of my friends are fans of the FF games and all but one loved FFX-2 yet I know most people well...didn't. I think it's a bit silly to think taht any loose ends would be tied up in a FF game tbh, in fact X-2 probably tied up more loose ends than any other FF game has done in the past, simply because usually the FF games are so far out there they usually end up with a **** load of plot holes.

And I disagree that a jRPG has to be anything but fun in order to be a decent game. The original Pokemon games were fantastic and they have nothing note-worthy in terms of story or characters. FFI, FFIII and FFV all have pretty average stories and characters as well, yet the funfactor in these games is still pretty high. Of course, I think most of the characters in FFX-2 are pretty good. Not a whole load of them show a lot of complexity, but their character's suit the style and feel of the game. I much prefer the X-2 incarnation of Yuna than the X version but I digress. |
