Im I the only person how thinks that X-2 is better than X???????????
My reasons for this........ 1. no sphere grid 2. NO!!!!!!!!!! Tidus. I hate Tidus. I hate his voice. I hate the fact nobody ever says his name. I hate his stupid Blitzball playing face. He just really annoys me. I like the combat system in X-2. I like all the characters in X-2. I like the leveling up. I like not playing as Tidus. I <3<3<3<3 Rikku=D Rikku FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

FFX features an fairly epic story line with fantastic characterization and a battle system that actually employs some sense of strategy. Final Fantasy X-2 is a more light-hearted adventure with great mini-games, a non-linear style and a fast-passed, entertaining battle system.
It's hard to say which game is better beyond personal preference. |

Kind of goes back to the 'personal preference' thing. At the very least, I liked the way they incorporated aspects of Tidus' character design into Yuna's new outfit, representing the effect he had on her and the change that came to Spira after Sin's defeat.

i'd rather Tidus than this crap. its like Charlie's Angles meets Final Fantasy. only thing i like about X-2 is the improved graphics and gameplay was pretty good with the missions. other than that ummm i didnt like it all that much.

I just enjoyed playing X-2 more than X. I do like X a lot. But tbh im not very good at it. And I only completed it when I used A cheat disc. And I can do X-2 without any cheats. In fact the only one i have completed with out cheats is VII.

dude.....there is not one ounce of thought in my mind that would even consider thinking about final fantasy X-2 being even worth to shine final fantasy x's shoes.

I had two of them using Dark Knight and one was a White Mage or whatever.... game was pie.
The story in FFX-2 really really pissed me off, especially the ending. FFX was very epic and emotional and moving, the characters were interesting and unique, and I really enjoyed the ending. I expected FFX-2 to take itself seriously as a sequel to a good story, but the game did not take itself seriously, it didnt explain anything at all, and makes no damn sense. |

Final Fantasy X had the superior storyline. We would not even have Final Fantasy X-2 if we did not have FFX anyways. : /
The only thing FFX-2 had going for it was improved graphics and thrilling battle system. The changes Yuna went through was too drastic. How does one raised in a religious setting become a whore because she saved the world and lost her love. Sure Tidus was annoying at times but he should not just be your only justification to declare FFX-2 better then its predecessor. That is just my opinion though. I also actually liked the Sphere Grid. |

In my opinion, X-2 just sucked period, and I would place any FF above it, except Crystal Chronicles. I don't even know if X-2 had a storyline, all it had that I liked was the battle system. Graphics were okay, but I don't look at graphics as much as I do gameplay and storylines.

I'm with the opinion that X was far better than X-2 for the simple reason that at least a good storyline exists. I had no idea most of the time what was going on in X-2, the storyline was almost non-existant for me.
And the different endings? Gosh that put me off so much I was ready to condemn the game, I don't think it should be considered as a stand alone title in the FF series. But that's just me. The only thing I liked about X-2 was probably the battle system that can get so fast and furious, and the graphics. |

The battle system was the only thing really going for X-2. It was a very shallow sequel to quite an effecting X. I loved X, and quite liked the sphere grid system. I also found it quite difficult to complete, but after putting in some good playtime, it was easy. AND enjoyable, without all the Charlie's Angels rubbish.
But that's just my opinion.

imo, both are so bad it's impossible to decide between the two. I know X/X-2 has it fans but I found them both to be rather shallow gaming experiences. The only saving grace for either of them was Auron, the only real character in them.
Had X-2 been the story of Auron, Jecht and Braska's quest to destroy Sin, it would've been awesome. |
