Did you all knew that some names from Final Fantasy X appears in Final Fantasy XII?Well, to start with is the name of the GF's from Final Fantasy VIII, Tonberry, Ifrit, Leviathan, Shiva and Bahamut... But not to finish with, I read reports about on of the imperials soldiers calling for captain Jecht, the father of Tidus in Final Fantasy X. And of course I can´t let forget the soundtracks, the symphony poem "Hope" from almost all Final Fantasies, the Final Fantasy theme, the Victory fanfare theme and the Gylgamesh Battle theme, all we can say is that Final Fantasy XII is a link between almost all Final Fantasies! :O |

the Tonberry Monster has been in a bunch of FFs. It's one of their iconic monsters, and Ifrit, Bahamut, Shiva, Leviathan are Iconic Summons that appear in almost every final fantasy. I would say it's SE just using the names as a throw back.
Basically, this isn't the first time, they always use most of the same summons or their names along with new ones and the victory theme and such is a constant in all the FFs. Good find on the Jecht though.

But Shiva and all of the summons is as stated above regular FF names. I'd like to call you a smart ass but let's forget it this time.

There's also a Biggs and Wedge in quite a few FF games. The two soldiers with you at the very beginning of VI, the two members of Avalanche in VII, the two Galbadian soldiers in VIII... Can't remember any Biggs and Wedge in IX 'cause I haven't played the game thoroughly enough. In X, there are two Blitzball players you can hire called Biggs and Wedge.
You also got a Cid in almost every FF, and each time he's some sort of mechanic/scientist/pilot or whatever. |

Wasn't Bigs and Wedge one of the thieves on the play ship in IX? I can't remember. I'm gonna look it up actually. But yeah good find about Jecht and all of the summons you mentioned have been in almost every FF.. I think I remember most of them starting off in IV... Don't quote me on that though.
Edit. Nope not in IX. But they are in KH2 and Chrono Trigger. Plus FFT and FFTA. |

Well it must not have been in more than two.
Cid (Final Fantasy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Wikipedia FTW. But that only mentions the characters that are recurring. |

Naimgway appeared in more than two FF's for definate. Unless you meant to say that he appeared in at least two? You said not more than two.. but i clearly remember him in 4,5,6 and IX?
And Cid.. FF6, FF4/5, FFVII...i dont doubt he's appeared in more. |

I had the emulator for it and now have lost all the files for it... I can't remember where I was... But it was after losing your friend dragon(Or whatever it was),that pulled the ship, to a monster . I really can't remember since it's been a good 7 years since I played it.

lol.. I hate typos. But ouch. My feet hurt as well. (Work sucks)
But I think they haven't used a few other names that sometimes you wish you could see again. Anyone have any character or place names they Want to see again? I know I'd like to see the WEAPON monsters being used more often other than just Ultimate and Omega... But wasn't that an extra bonus in VII in the US release? |
