Balthier. He had a cool attitude and always kept his wits about him. Plus he had an interesting background, imho.

I would have to say Penelo, because she just the type I like. She is kind of like Rikku and Yuffie.

Id probally go for Basch though his twin brother was pretty cool. I love those judges. Best bit of the game. Balthier and Basch are the two that i like best because they have both worn a judge outfit and are just plain cool, in comparisson to vaan who is more annoying then tidus, ashe who just a grumpy cow from start to finish abd penello who i personallyt dont think needed to be in the game at all.

People bitch about how Vaan and Penelo shouldn't have been in the game, but it would probably have been a bit crap without them in all honesty. Sure they may not have been integral to the story past the first few hours of gameplay, but they both did their bit to progress the game as it went on, and in a way they couldn't have done with the rest of the characters, so really they're not so bad, they just don't take a truly active role in the story as a whole, like permanent guests in your party

oh i understand why vaan was there and i think its clever as he isnt the main protagonist but alot of the story is seen through him. However Pennello just sucked ass. And she goty such a big bit at the end. That annoyed me.

I'd say Basch, but I just prefer Balthier's wit and backstory. Definitely my favourite character in this generation of Final Fantasy.

I'm torn between Dr.Cid and Balthier. However considering you get to see a lot more of Balthier, I'll say him. That Brit accent gets me every time.

Balthier without a doubt. He was, far and away, the best character in the game and really should have been the main character rather than fruity-ass Vaan.

I must say Basch. That third quickening of his (can't of course remember it's name) is the most neat attack of the new gen. And he knows what true loyalty is about. My man all around. Although he lacked the appeal of Fran ;D

Between Balthier and Basch, Basch was to me in my opinion similar to Auron, just not has bad ass, while Balthier just rocked.

Yeah, I agree, I guess my favorite character is just like a permanent guest. A very sexy permanent guest.

i wouldve liked Gabranth to be in ur party, complete bad@ss with two swords which could be attached to turn into a double sword, and if that wasnt enough, he was a judge
