Blitzball: Love or Hate?

I never really delved deep into this section of the game, I know you have to in order to get Wakka's best weapon and his limit breaks but........ It didn't seem worth it as I never use Wakka much anyways. I just couldn't get my head around the concept, it's like a battle only longer and where you can move. Although it will never be the same as racing or betting on Chocobo's it still absorbed my time.

I didn't really play it much until one day when i hit it hard and played it for about 6-7 hours straight. That kinda killed it for me after that. It was too FF/Number related. I was expecting it to play like FIFA or something when it was just a huge Battle system rip-off.

what does everybody else reckon?

I hated Blitzball. No appeal to me whatsoever. I got sick of it after like an hour or so. And I made do just fine without it.

Although I hate it, I played it pretty extensively to get all of Wakka's Limit Breaks etc.

The single worst thing about it is that you start off terrible, and so it takes skill to win, but end up fantastic and win with ease. Scores like 17-0 and higher are very possible. Why play a game when it becomes that easy?

It's something that you have to get used too. Unfortunatly if you want to try and get every LW in the game you have to play it. I found it alright to play, but I had to play it in sequences because I couldn't play it for hours straight without wanting to blow my brains out.

Actually I loved playing it i was really good at it that's what i did most of my time on and i got Wakka's best weapon with it too

Blitzball was only entertaining for so long. It sucks after you CAN'T lose.:P

Blitzball was a good game. At first it was confusing but after a while it got really fun. At times I used to just put in FFX to just play some Blitz. Great game it was. I like how you get to pick your own members and such. It was really cool to do.

On the other hand you had Blitzball in FFX-2 which was absolutley terrible. I hated it with a passion. It was too fast and hard to grasp. If I am not mistaken the CPU took over and you didn't control anything like in FFX. That was so lame.

yeah i hated the blitzball in X-2 too though i was awesome in X i had the Jecht Shot and everything

At first I was terrible at it and didn't do very well on it, then on day I played it drunk and became a master of it overnight! It was a sort of nice distraction from the main game although as it's already been said it became tedious when you leveled up enough for 15-0 victories on a regular basis and I didn't like having to go through it extensively for Wakka's Ultimate Weapon and Overdrives.

FFX-2s Blitzball game I only played once and left it at that, absolutely terrible.

When I first got into FFX, I never really cared for it. I didn't care for Wakka's best weapon much either since I rarley used him. But then, one day I got tremendously bored. I began to play and decided to try out some Blitzball. My god, it was very entertaining. I like Blitzball even though it's not the best minigame out of all the FF's.

I hated blitzball from the very first time you had to play it in Luca. I never used Wakka anyways, so I figured playing it would be useless. It wasn't even all that fun.

Blitzball in FFX was really good once you had gotten used to it. lol. Normally the first time around you are like.."Omg, How lame" but, after awhile you really start to get into it. I personally say it is one of the best mini games that I have played.

Blitzball in FFX was a great game, maybe the best minigame I have ever played. It was so in depth with recruiting players and learning techs that I thought it was almost a game in itself. I spent many hours on it trying to get my team to absurdly high levels.

Blitzball in FFX-2 however sucked... and sucked hard.

I was addicted to blitzball in FF X for about a month. :laugh: i found it pretty fun. I never did play it in FF X-2, mostly because I hated it and never go through it.

I only ever played Blitzball the times it required you to do so. It was pretty ****, imho.

It was pretty sucky at first but after awhile it was really fun to play, especially in those times of boredome. haha. FFX-2's blitzball was so bad...I hated having to play it for a mission. It so sucked.

I hated Blitzball with a passion. It was so freakin' boring. And I sucked at it. XD

I only played when I had to for the tournament. I hated Blitzball, probably because I sucked so badly. I don't remember ever winning a game, it was so hard play.

i think the majority of gamers who played FFX hated it. Only those blessed with the patience to take time building a squad and learning skills excelled at it. I just didn't get interested in it.
