FFXII Loot [help]

umm.. i recently discovered this great site for FF fanatics.. i'm so relieved i found something like this.. XP
i just want to ask if rares like charged gizzard, beastlord horn, feywood, halchyons are dependant on chain kills or just plain luck. even i have completed the grimoires i still have a hard time getting this.. please help me.. thanks alot.

Pretty sure they only depend on luck and of course having the appropriate Monograph. Chain kills increase the amount of loot you get, but I haven't noticed a marked increase in rare loot acquisition as a result of chains.

true true, luck does play a big part on getting rare loots. but for me i seem to get rare loots on high chain kills like 70-100+ . haha.. i'm not that very lucky on loots.. especially on the charged gizzard loot.. i only know a part on henne mines which has 2 thunder bugs.. after i kill them i have to exit 2 screens and go back for them to respawn.. it's a real pain on the ass.. haha.. KH2's rare loots were easier to harvest.. haha..
