My Opinions

- 2/6/06: I think that during the battle, we choose the attacks we want in order then they play it in that order, according to the enemies you choose. I think this on the screenshots becasue in the bottom ATB bar, there are slots in order and the one she is currently using is highlighted. Also becasue in the trailer, you see that the attacks are one after another, no pause.

It's not her real name. It's a codename of sorts, according to Nomura. Apparently 'Lightning' is reluctant to reveal her real name. The rumored name of the Versus main character is Storm (no confirmation on that yet, though). I wish they'd name the second XIII character (the blond guy on the motorcycle) that we saw in the latest trailer from TGS.

Also, it's been confirmed by Famitsu (or Dengeki... I can't recall for certain offhand) that it WON'T be out in 2007, so you may want to revise that rumored release date.

Yes, it would. But, everyone in forums around have been making their username's 'lighting'. I hate n00bs like that. -.-' Even though a code name, lightning is still a awesome title.

Well I think it kind of nice to have a little change to their battle system(not saying that I don't like the battle system that is usually on the FF series).

God I really hope they actually do drastic revamps to the Active Time Bar system. I really cannot go through the horrors of that old system after Final Fantasy XII.

From what I've seen so far, it looks like the battle system in FFXIII will be similar to FFXII, but a bit more fast paced. I don't think you'll have to worry about going back to the basics.

As its been sai dbefore, Lightning isn't her real name. And it's been confirmed sevral times, and even at E3 last year it WILL be on the PS3.

That would drag it farther away from it's roots. Change is good, but having it tied to it's previous instalments needs to be there somehow. Versus will be similar to Kingdom hearts, however. With it being a sort of spin off, in a way, I guess it being kind of "real-time" is fine. It should pretty exciting actually.

Though I know it'll be on the PS3, I'm praying it'll make its way to the PS2, because I'd hate if it only came out on the PS3 since I don't want to go out to buy another game system just for one game. The game looks absoletly spectacular though. I've always been a fan of the few FF games I played.

I like how the battle system has changed recently where you're not just randomly jumping in the battle, but instead having the battle take place right there in front of you.

It both won't and can't be on the PS2. The PS2 simply can't handle the graphics and processing speed. Not like the PS3 can. The PS2 is just outdated.

hopefully this game is worth the PS3's heavy price tag. i dont want to end up seeing this game end up bad. but so far it looks good. i'm really interested in FF Versus. 13 since its taking a modern setting instead of a 1000 years into the future sci fi crap like the other one.

I can't wait for the 13th series, both games seem cool and so far the caracters seem preety cool aswell, but please we need real names!!. When i first Lightening I was a lil eww but I guess I'm getting used to it.
