Versus XIII vs. XIII

Who else thinks that Versus just looks way cooler than FFXIII?

I watched the trailers side by side the other day, and Versus really just stood out to me, I'm loving the look and feel of it, a bit darker and more mysterious, as compared to the XII one.

Plus I'm not a big fan of this "Lightning" character in XIII.....

Versus looked more edgy and attracted your attention more. So, yes, it does seem better in terms of visuals. Although we will never know what it truley feels like until it comes out. FFXIII may just be better in the battle system. We never know...but as of now I say that Versus looks quite better.

I think both games will be tripe. Futuristic, machinery... hell, Shiva turns into a motorcycle.

Sad thing is I'll still buy them.

They are two completely different games. Actually FF XIII, Versus XIII and Agito XIII makes up the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation.

Not looking forward to either that much due to going back to the FFVII/VIII futuristic style settings which just isn't interesting, but out of the two FFXIII looks the better if only because it's the only one out of the two that's had any decent footage released yet.

The main difference is that FFXIII is continuing the numbered series with a real-time battle system similar to FFXI/XII while Versus XIII will probably turn out be more of a KH style game and be more action orientated.

I think both FFXIII will be great, I must say I´m waiting their release days to buy them. The FFXIII Game has a very cute character (Lightning) I´m sure it will be fantastic, and FFXIII Versus, I saw the trailer and I´m surprised, the character looks dark and evil. But my dude is over FFXIII Agito, I don´t know nothing about it.

Well, it was my opinion. I think FFXIII Versus will be better than FFXIII.

Well, I personally love the future look with the machinary and future technology. It's going to attract more people I think. Versus just seems to have that kick ass feel. So, yeah, I will go with that one for now.

FFXIII I think will be okay, but I'm not exactly hyped about it. Versus is what has my attention right now. The battle system sounds pretty cool, like an updated version of KH's, this game is also supposed to be the darkest FF of them all, but then again, this is coming from Nomura, so that isn't very reliable. In any case, Versus looks like it will definitely be pretty awesome from what I know so far.

I like the darker look of Versus... it seems a lot more mysterious that XIII. On the other hand, we've seen a lot more of XIII, and I have to say, it looks damn good, too. Really, until we see more of the games, it comes down to atmosphere, and in my opinion, Versus wins in that category, hands down.

I plan on getting both as well... I'd also like Agito, but I'll be astounded if it makes it to US mobile phones.

judging from the look of both games, i think square has really hit their stride here, both visually gorgeous at their own right and theme, all we have to do is wait for more updates to see how each functions. give it time, i think it'll turn out to be interesting to see what nomura can handle on these projects, that is - beyond the image, and the real meat and potatoes in quality a RPG. i'll speak for myself here, but i haven't played a really good one in a while.

Nomura is actually my biggest concern for Versus. It's not that he's not talented... it's just that he's THE guy SE goes to when they want to make a new FF game these days. They're all starting to look the same, feel the same, and play the same. SE needs to mix it up a bit and put out an FF or three that Nomura doesn't even touch.

I have to confess I've never been the biggest fan of Nomura to start with, and the more his influence becomes felt on the latest FF games, the less interest I have in them. I like that FFXII wasn't influenced by him much, so I'll probably enjoy that a lot more than other entries in the series (I haven't had time to play it yet, or even managed to find a copy).

I really wish they'd do another FF title designed by Amano. >_>

Hmm, we still haven't seen any game-play on Versus, just how it MAY be using other levels of the 'field' and game-play like KH right? Eh, well it only makes sense due to the fact that the KH Team are working on the project.

Also, I do like 'Lightning". Lets hope we have one of the first female main character who doesn't seem to girly. Like Tidus..haha.
