New Tech Admin - Things Changin'!?

Well, first, a little background story of me..

I was one of the original three webmasters that first released FFEv5 way back on July 16th 2006. I helped in the graphics, content conversions (text -> HTML/CSS/PHP), tweaking of the core FFE system, and some other things. I was then inactive from around August 2006 to late 2006, where I decided to resign permanently. However, I proved that wrong by being here, right?

Anyways, the all powerful Jay welcomed me back and placed me on Super Moderator duty. That was fun and such, but i felt there was much that could be done to fix the crumbling FFE, and thus restore it to that we loved. So, Jay apparently likes a good chunk of my suggestions and has generously placed upon me the power of Tech Admin. Whoo hoo!

Anyways, you can expect many bugs to be fixed and a good amount of tweaks to enhance your stay at Final Fantasy Extreme! I will be sure to announce notable changes once finalized first.

The smilie box is one thing broken, but there are others that could use tune ups.

It's not broken, it's just that the guy that made the hack was a bit of a nub. Albeit I recommended that mod to Jay as it solved a bigger problem, but feel free to fix it more.

Currently I've connected the top "Who's Online" to the welcome panel, fixed an issue where only the top "Who's Online" panel would collapse abd the bottom wouldn't, and have been working on some of the CSS.

Cool. I say hello again. I like how the quick reply box looks and how it's working again. Hmm.. The buddy lists needs some fixing as well. Sometimes you can add people. Sometimes you can't. I personally can't add one person. No clue why. But it never goes through.

Tbh, I don't understand why we have "buddies" when the "friends" hack is better. But then again, profiles are a work in progress.

I believe they are both the same thing. Your Buddy list is your friend's list. The hack just makes it look similar to myspace... but you know, better.

...But they both show up. The buddy list is just a list of names that you add in, which is so totally useless and manual. The friends list is myspace styly, and much better to have.

That's their problenm for being unpopular, then.

It should pop up, like a PM, when you get added to someone's friends list, though. That way you can accept/reject the foo's.

Doesn't a little + sign or w/e appear next to their user name.. i think the sign depends on if they've added you, or if you've aded them.. or if you've become "friends" (Aww, thats sweet.)

Yep, for anyone that doesn't know, go to the "Who's Online" page and at the bottom it has the key to all the signs.
