Final Fantasy Petition!

Just after the announcement, and already theres a petition online, its actually a good read for PlayStation and nintendo fans:

I've signed of course!


But this is not just for FF13, its also for all the other spin offs SE have made, and its time to put them back on track, its not just the fact its lost exclusiveness, hell thats just part of it, this petition is not only asking for the exclusiveness back, but the actual series, something has to be done!

They do listen to their fandom however the numerous petitions are a bit too much as they still have to work on the projects and it's a bit stupid for them to change productions that are nearing completion due to petitions being sent in.

Either way, they are actually working on other games so they are getting back on track slowly.

I don't really want them to dwell on FF7 any more. Make new games and standalone titles, I'm getting tired of sequals that can potentially harm the original story. I prefered when they only used to make mainstream titles from 7 - 10.

So i stop, but people keep signing away.
But i agree with RedCloud. Stop dwelling on FFVII, its old news now.

Ummm...I read it, but I'm not signing. Final Fantasy is a staple of the video game industry, and it could easily be argued that not putting it on the 360 would be witholding the opportunity to experience its awesomeness from another different demographic. As much as I don't like the fact that Squeenix is branching out from Sony (my wallet is of finite dimensions...), the fact is that is what Square is notorious for. They've made the big leap from Nintendo to Sony, and as of now they already have numerous titles for all systems. Squeenix has become one of the leading companies in the video game industry, and limiting their products to specific systems can only hurt them. I would have liked Sony to crush Microsoft as well, but the sad truth is that up until about this time the PS3 was significantly more expensive than the 360, and that affected both its market audience and its investors. Hopefully this will be reversed by their more comepetitive pricing and the fact that Blu Ray crushed HD DVD, but it will take some time, and Squeenix isn't brave enough to take the risk and back the PS3 completely, not when they already are dominating the PSP and making substantial progress in the Nintendo and Microsoft consoles. It's all about money, and they are making tons of it.

And just a warning: if anyone signed this who has no intention of buying a PS3, even it is only for FF XIII Versus, which looks like it could easily be better than FF XIII, then you are a hypocrite, because the only way to get SE to invest in the PS3 more is to prove to them that the sales are there and the investment is worthwhile. Personally, I am liking the whole depression thing that is taking over the U.S. because that will mean rock bottom prices come Christmas, and then my hopes of getting my own HDTV and PS3 will seem more attainable, be they realistic or not.

So, no, for many reasons, as well as maybe a few concerning the rhetorical effectiveness of the letter itself that I won't mention out of respect for the author, I will not sign this.

That is a reason why I didn't sign as well...And well, I will never buy a PS3 because of the price *Sighs*

a PSP, then wait for Dissidia.

I won't buy a PSP until Dissidia and BBS and Agito get a little closer to release. But that is the next system I am saving up for.

I honestly don't see the purpose of buying a 360 when all of its best games are Microsoft exclusive and have been ported to PC. I was very happy to find out that the laptop I just bought had all the drivers and equipment and memory and cards and stuff to play 360 games, so fortunately I will be able to skip on the 360.

So do I, but seeing as the PS3 has yet to make a comeback, I must accept that a lot of good games will continue to be released on XBox until the PS3 pulls itself together and takes charge of the hardcore market again.

Yeah, Play station has been doing bad lately (Save Dissida).
Assassins Creed looks real good, especially if its in my hand *Laughs*

yes, the gameplay looks very innovative, the graphics are superb, and even the premise and story seem top-notch. There's a reason why classics become classics...
