IMPRTANT NOTTICE TO NEW USERS AND SENIORS ALIKE!!
Quote:
Welcome new members of Final Fantasy Extreme Forums, it's good to see new people and more activity in the forums... however it appears to generally be within this forum (the News/Announcement) forum and sends any news updates off-topic extremely quickly, and having to sift through numerous posts of anything not relating to the topic in any form becomes extremely monotonous (i.e. boring) and can also turn away visitors from joining the forums to have their say on said news and/or topics.
I would just like to kindly ask, that the topics be kept on-track and any spill-off be taken to the appropriate forum (perhaps General Square, if about a game or a character... otherwise the Spam forum) - making it a tad easier to go through the topics and posts on the actual topic. I know it is not everyone and it is not non-stop, but it is happening far too often.
Other things, that appear to need to be mentioned:
If there are any problems with other members, for a fair reason against forum rules (e.g. racism, abuse/harassment, stalking/post-stalking, false reporting, spam... etc) - then please contact the forum's moderation staff.
If you make a spelling mistake in a post, there is an EDIT button so posting a "Correction Post" or "Ooops, I made a spelling mistake... I was meaning to say blah blah blah", for a minor matter can easily be solved by use of this EDIT button... however if someone has quoted said post with said mistake and has made a comment, then you can simply add-in at the end of your post something like "(I know I made a spelling mistake... etc, but it cannot be helped sometimes.)"
If there are spammers, ad-bots - if you do not know the meaning of these then they are the following:
Spammers, normally post the same thing repeatedly (topics/posts) and are of no relation to any subject... whatsoever.
Ad-Bots, normally advertisers advertising some useless product hoping that someone will fall for their scam - don't click links from any of these posts, just report these to a moderator, by either PM'ing (private messaging) or clicking the "Report this Post" button on the post itself and a moderator will handle the problem.
To stop issues from arising, if someone argues or flames (purposely insults another user)... do not waste your time arguing back and sending the topic off-topic, but instead ignore any directed statements, don't down the user's reputation with a nasty comment or send them a nasty message if it continues to escalate... instead message a moderator to try and negotiate with the other user to solve whatever issue it is to cause them to flame/argue/harass you or anyone else.
The other issue is, that there are constant news updates that people will go to post in this forum alone - however, too many updates in the span of a couple of days can overwhelm people... so I would ask that every so often that a singular "Update" thread to be made if there is more than at least three to four important updates (new game, new characters, etc) and multiple less-important updates (new screenshots of already announced things, etc). Which in hand would save a bit of clutter in the forum...
Finally, when posting news... please, PLEASE make sure that your sources are good and if possible - try and get absolute confirmation on any information. Nothing is worse than getting fake/false information and spreading it around on any day other than April Fool's Day.
((Sorry, it's just really driving me nuts)).

This is an important topic that needs to be addressed. I know for some of you, it may be a difficult habit to get used to, but this forum needs to be kept tidy, orderly, and efficient, no more Chaos.
