Because she's just not all that funny? I mean, a little bit, but she's got that annoying "rosie o'donnel'esque voice that just grates and grates and grates at the nerves like a cheese peeler across an open wound and after two seconds of listening to her talk you totally forget what, if any, her point may/may not have been and just change the channel in horrified disgust.

That's why no one takes her seriously.

Most people anywhere only speak for themself. I think she uses the (usually socially-conservative) Republican party to justify her hate.
