What government type would you perfer your government should have? Do you think that there should even be many different types of goverment systems or do you think that all governments should be the same but with different leaders for different regions?

Well as long as we're talking about an ideal world, than monarchy would work perfectly. The way it could be made to work is if rather than going on bloodlines, you actually had classes people could take in Kinging or Queening. It would clearly be rigourous and demanding and applicants would be subject to extensive psychological testing. It probably wouldn't be perfect, but it would be damn near.
So all of these educated rulers would form the primary support structure and the Monarch would be top of the list. That would work very well at least as one branch of government. The main reason however, is the difference between the leadership renting the country, like in democracy or anything where the leadership changes frequently, and owning the country like with a monarch. When you rent a place, you leave lights on, you ignore damage if it's in your way and you generally rape the place and let the landlord fix it when you're gone. When you own however, you take care of your place, because it's yours, and you make improvements to add value for when you come to sell it again. Hence why I say, Monarchy is probably good, just so long as there is a control mechanism to allow you to get the right person at the top rather than some insane inbred fool.

Your right to some sort of matter but when everybody doesn't agree with the system of government they have a change. And for that matter I would ask you what system would you want to change it to?

I think that a world wide democracy would work best. There could be leaders for each area and they could meet all the time to help keep peace. I think that if we were united and understanding the world would be a much better place.

Communism is a good idea, but it always ends up with a ruling elite. Things don't remain equal, and the classes become even farther polarized than they are now.
No one form of government is perfect, or the best. Certain ones have been shown to work better than others in the long haul, but because man is man, every government will screw it up one way or another. And anarchy isn't the answer either, because you still have men governing themselves.

While not perfect, I still find anarchy preferable to all the alternatives. Although if it were implemented in modern society it'd, admittedly, be disastrous.
So, failing that, I'd like to see a democratic libertarian socialism implemented. But it'll never happen. |

Honestly for me, I'd say I'd prefer Socrates idea of government in that we find exceptionable people and train them for several years to see if they do have what it does take to have power and combine it with the idea of checks and balances so that those in power wouldn't have absolute power.

I prefer a monarchy under the system of an Imperium. Look at the Roman Empire and Han China. All were long lasting empires in their own right. I am up for elitism and a rigid class structure. It is all about consolidating powr into one area. But that is just me. Meh...

The roman empire was good when it was ruled by the senators but a while after it had been ruled by emperors, it went to **** with the elites living in decadence while the rest of the empire died from the inside out, which of course allowed the Visagoths and the other barbarians to ransack it.
Now (300 moment, I know) I also prefer the spartan system of government which was a monarchy of sorts where there was a head and a ruling council but all were under the rule of law. None were above it and even the king had to respect it. It was a harsh rigid system that they lived by but because of it, it was what helped them evolve from a gang to a team and how they were able to rule by the spear but not be ruled by it.

Yeah the Roman Empire was crap when it was ruled by the Emperors and evntually collapsed from within.
The Chinese Imperial system is something interesting though. The mechanism behind it was that the Emperor was a mediator between Heaven and the People of quasi-divine status. If he wasn't moral and all that good stuff he could have lost the legitamecy to rule and the power would pass to new moral ruling class. Explains why China had so many dynasties. |

This poll’s selection does not represent my feudalistic values…
Anywho, Communism. There has never been a state of communism to being with. The proof to support the fact would be the Marxist theory, the Marxist theory just hasn't been executed properly. |
