Welcome to the magical world of sarcasm. Seriously, that quote was in a reply to one of Batman's posts, it pretty much didn't have anything to do with the rest of this topic.

As for your other post. Testing on criminals serving life sentences would pretty much violate 50% of the universal human rights. It's true these people are useless to society and maybe even a burden on society, but they're still as much a human being as you are.

Following your reasoning of testing on useless people, we might aswell start testing on the elderly, or the mentally handicapped. Testing on a certain group just because they're in that group is plain wrong. And as we're messing around with nazi-ism anyway, testing on prisoners just because they're prisoners is as much as a crime as testing on jews just because they're jew.

Oh, and I don't mean to offend you, but next time you write a long post, could you please structure it a little bit? A big square of text is alot harder to read.

I understand what both of you are saying and I understand that rats and other animals have a higher population and that we should test on them because of that. But look at it this way; I am an animal lover, so I think that an animal's life is just as important as ours. I'm not saying that I will refuse treatment because it was tested on animals or that there is a 100% difference in animals' DNA and whatnot. I know that we are very similar but that is not true with all mammals.

Anyway, what I am trying to say is that if it's rats, then OK. I understand because they are one of the mammals that closely resemble us, and they're rodents and that rats are rodents that aren't necessary, or other rodents. But what I was talking about is, if we were to test on dogs, cats, etc. for our own purposes, then that is what I think is wrong. Now, if we were testing on them (in a controlled environment) on the animal for the animal, then I wouldn't have such a problem. Sorry if I offended you guys but I don't think I was specific enough. Also, I still think we should test on humans ourselves. Not only because the cure for [whatever we are curing] is more likely to work (still with a possibility that it won't because not all humans are the same either), but we should use people that, for instance, are in jail with a life sentence or the death penalty instead of just throwing their bodies away like that.

And thank you for saying that you didn't think I was a Nazi or something, because I am not. I do not promote stuff like that because they (the jews) were innocent along with all the gypsies, Polish and all the other people they killed. But think about it...if we are just going to kill them or let them rot in prison for the rest of their life, while they suck of the taxpayers dollar so we can keep them alive in jail or for the execution, then I think our money would be better spent finding cures on them, rather than on the animals. Don't you agree?
