If it makes you feel any better, America is kind of going to pot as well. Half of us still believe in creationism and this generation's crusade has been going on for years despite having no positive effects whatsoever. McCain also doesn't think atheists deserve to be considered citizens. Where does he or any other person find the gall to say something like that? There is absolutely no connection between religion and morality. Japan and Scandinavia are two of the safest places in the world, as based on standard of living, hourly wages, crime rates, etc. (Norway actually beats U.S. all around) and yet they are like 70% atheist to boot. They don't rely on blind adherence to needless dogmas and scripture to do what's best for society; they do it because it's the most rational thing to do.

Sorry for that mini rant as well, but that is why I am also glad that McCain did not win. That and the fact that Palin, who had a good shot at becoming President, had little government experience, all of it bad, and she supported Creationism. I find it disturbing that about half of the American population still believes that crap enough to vote for the Republican ticket as much as they did. People are SO STUPID!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I think Palin was pretty stupid, she makes women look retarded. I can see why McCain would think that way about females *laughs* I would too, hanging around her.

I'd at least respect true hunters more than her. She not only hunts and loves it, but was pushing for aerial hunting of wolves or something like that, which completely removes any sort of "sport" out of it. That's even more inhumane than pure hunting.

I have to agree on that opinion, pretty much like that over here still (even though Australia used to be one of the country's that is "the least religious").

So I'd have to say in further agreement, I'd prefer to live in either of those places.

I hope the new PM Rudd digs out some of the crap PM Howard let happen...
