That was damn funny. I'm not gonna smoke anyways so it really doesn't matter. It's basically a birth **** up stick, a cancer stick, a "the tobacco company are bastards" stick. Pfft... all you really have to do is gather up enough pissy people to pettition the city. They banned smoking in restarurants and bars (****ing BARS!) in my town just recently. City ordinance, or some such ****. Smoking won't ever be banned nationwide. They tried that with alcohol, which is just as bad for you, and look how well that turned out.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like being around people who are smoking, but ever since they banned it in the bars, I'm forced to endure walking through twice as many clouds of smoke outdoors on campus.

They banned smoking in bars? I figured bars would be the one place safe from smoking bans. I mean, I don't smoke cigarettes, but banning smoking in bars seems rather stupid. A lot of people need a good smoke after having a beer.

Restaurants I can understand, but all they have to do is make a smoking area.

Yup... they banned it in bars as of Jan. 31 this year. It's ****tarded. You can no longer smoke inside a restaurant or bar in my city... in fact any indoor public area is now non-smoking. A couple places have beer gardens, which, since they're outside, permit smoking, but there aren't too many of them.
