Like smoking, drinking, illicit drugs, people swear. Yes I know this is an adolescent targeted site and people should be allowed to post in the SB without having to scroll down "****, ****, ********." but people also like to vent and we shouldn't be censored, especially in the spam sections and rant sections of all places. And with the downward spiral that's happening due to annoying as hell ads and load time errors that make me sometimes want to take a sledge hammer to my monitor, we have more of a reason and a need to vent and therefore have removed the censor options. Language is a powerful tool and sometimes "**** and ****" can be used to heighten the mood of the situation when used properly.
So use it properly, and, Ralph, the mods can prune and edit the SB whenever an idiot decides to spam it up with swear words. It's one of thier jobs, let them do it.

it's a long story, but this forum's activity is being killed off by excessive amounts of advertising, a ****ty server and the swear filter. Rob's removal of the swear filter marks one of the three down, now we have to worry about the other two.

Just be sure not to abuse it. I can understand why Ralph may have done it, though he certainly should have told us about it, but we do have mods and smods who can edit and warn on the sb and threads so that option isn't really needed.

Swearing is win.
As for ads, I only see a banner on top of the page and one below the page.
Loading time is slow idd, and the banners usually are the first thing that pops up though.
