First rant for a good reason!

I know this is my first public rant, but i'm just really pissed off about so many things it's hurting me, and this forum is suplying me with the appropriate facilities so here goes:

Ya know, i'm f*cking sick of all this negative sh*t I'm hearing on this site!! Jak and Jay and Abel and all those deserter tards trying to up convert all the remaining users on these forums is sickening me! We're only getting forum activity from like 6-7 users, meanwhile all these new joiners log in ONCE to say hi on the New Begginings forums, and even if they are greeted with warm welcomes, they just High tail it and you never see them again! Wtf is up with that?? Meanwhile we're getting all this **** with from the old users, telling us to go onto Their ****ty sites! Like we'd want to go there anyway, I'm glad half of them got banned by Words of Ivory, they ****ing deserved it, i'd rather have a small forum of nice users then those nihilistic Losers with their retarded Cookie Monster Emotes!! So if you didn't get the message, Get the fuk off my site you ass holes!!

Then there's ****ing Vermillion Thanatos trying to make me look guilty for my rational actions against him! I wasn't abusing my power, and now I think he's pretty much turned the entire Forums (What's left of it) against me!! Almost no one ever speaks to me anymore! And whenever I write up a news post, almost no one comes and posts on it! Like they were told not too or something!! Meanwhile the rest of the news thread is flooded with Dissidia news and ****! Probably because those users who post it know they will atleast get some attention on their posts because it's so popular compared to the more independant titles that I provide! I mean no one here cares about Blood of Bahamut? Or Crystal Chronicles, or what? That's as biased as any FF VII fan forum!

Which brings me to Reverse Gaia, He almost never logs in except on thursdays to steal my News on Final Fantasy Exclusives! If you notticed, -I- was the first one to post the first two threads, and he's been slathering away at his desk, finding those updates on the minute and posting them immediately before me! Like I have a life enough to go away for a coffee break for a few minutes! He doesn't even get what the threads are about! They're not just for those stupid articles posted on Gamespy and IGN, they also supply news for the actual titles themselves! ( if you'd nottice, the Japanese PSN and other sites get updates to the corresponding titles of the week, which I think is nesat, but he never even shows them). So While he's stealing MY articles under MY name, i'm left with all these jack **** articles that NO ONE ever comments on anyway!

Now Lady Lamont's upset, Which makes me upset, because I just told her how upset I was like a few days ago! And all this negativity is just making me remember my past problems with another friend who was upset like me, and I lost do to my own carelessness! So I guess Vermillion was right, I AM going to lose all my friends on these forums, just like I did him! These forums are all i've got, I don't even visit Facebook anymore, This is even the first and only forum I ever got the position of moderator on, and you guys are so nice, I don't want to lose you!!!

Which is just as well, cause I have enough **** going on in the real world anyway!! I can't bring myself to do anything with my time! I've had twice as long a summer as I usually have and havn't done **** since. I havn't even brought myself to ****ing email a friend from college! I only had one scene left to write on a script for another friend, and I havn't even done that! I havn't left my house to hang ut with my other friends either, let alone work on any home projects I wanted to do for the summer! I havn't done barely anything, other than let Final Fantasy Consume my summer! And I ****ing hate myself for it! I'm probably not even going to get that career i've dreamed of getting all my life. Just die alone. That's my fate!

Anyways, don't let those deserters bother you...they'll eventually disappear the very same way they got here. also the PSB site is not comparative with FFE since this here is soley about FF / SE, whereas PSB is about gaming stuff in general...

As for the news section, I personally am not that active there, since I don't own any consoles currently....but from what I've seen, read your articles are great. Just don't really have anything to post since everybody is way better informed than me anyways. lol You're doing just fine there...

Well, I don't like VT leaving....and probably wouldn't agree to him getting 2Months ban, for whatever reason. But I see that you have your duties as the head-mod, and I don't think you'd go off banning anyone if you didn't see sufficient reason for doing so. Anyways, The fact that I might not agree doesn't mean I'd be treating someone, in this particular case you, different or colder than before and I think that goes for all of us.

I hope you'll get over this cranky phase...loosing all your friends on the forums is a ridiculous fear though. Don't cha worry bout' tha.

I know exactly what you mean on that hold Former Members situation, and the one-post only people. I was going to rant about it myself earlier, but ended up not doing so. I've been tempted to ask Ralph about bringing in an Active Member policy (accounts not active for a certain amount of time to either be banned and/or deleted). PSB has nothing really, just a ton of crap taken from other gaming forums as well as the emulation scene.

Don't worry about the articles Garland, you've done a great job - however we might just have to start using the forum attachments again.
It's really about the quality, not the quantity of the information - that's what makes your updates standout in contrast.

Don't worry about what Vermilion said - I do have to agree that a temp ban was needed, probably not for two months but still needed, especially when warnings have been given out so you were within your right to do that. I classify you as the nominated Mod leader, and if you had gone too far then I would have stepped in and stopped you so if there is to be anyone to blame, it would be for not stepping in.

Just go and relax Garland, I'm feeling the same way at the moment - take a day off from FF, there's not going to be much news for a little bit and get some r&r down.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the members who join and then never post. It ticks me off too...my friend actually did it, 'cause he asked me to see the FF site I joined back in April, I gave it to him, he joins, doesn't come back, I ask him why he never posts and he's like "I joined to be dead" so I got ticked at him >_> Only reason why I haven't been as active as usual is 'cause real life decided to be a bitch at me but I still try to check up on this place (and Lamont I WILL get around to watching your dub thing. Trust me, I will).

PSB...ugh. I am going to be blunt and say that bad things happened to us when we joined that so I left. I got there and all they did was try to "analyze" me and scream the most horrifying, sick stuff at me. Yeah, I'm not going back. I'm not going into detail on exactly what they said, either. :\ It was just...horrifying.

But yeah. Just relax, take a breather, maybe take a break from FFE if you need to. I might.

Anyway, I did take a day off from FFE, and it felt good. I feel a little better now.

It's nice to know the quality of my news posts are appreciated now and then, I modeled it after some of the old writers of FFE that I somewhat respected, like Kioneh.

Funny, most of you guys can't see these because you are not forum staffers, but if you look at the old Crews posts (Many of them used to be in our places by the way), they were coming up with some terrible stuff for the forums. Complaining about the word Censor system, cause The Man liked to swear alot, or giving useless three page discussions on whether or not to change the user name of a potential troll. Fun to see the origins of I_AM_THE_CAPS_MONSTER's name origins. xD

But in all seriousness I was very torn with my decision about VT. I did like to think of him as a friend, and that was my first decision where I had to relinquish friendship to my authority. It still hurts me, partly because he's leaving for good now, even though if he showed some humility and apologised, I could of shortened his sentence exponentially.

That's exactly my point though. The old users that used to be here are in all due respects, Douches. Thus going to a forum practically teaming with them along with their douche recruits is like taking a step into hell. Chances are, if you like the new FFE user base, you'd hate the old FFE user base. Me thinks the old users that were somewhat enjoyable wouldn't be on PSB.

Hm. Well I don't know any of the old members since I only first joined...I think beginning of this year it was...What the hell happened to this place anyways? I keep hearing stories about the old times and how they came to end...but no one ever bothers to explain what actually happened...

Hm, let's just leave it at that back in 2003? Or 2004...when I finally decided to join, after lurking on FFE for YEARS... I offered to write up walkthroughs for games - was flamed to hell for no reason, because there was NO SUB-FORUM FOR POSTING SITE FEEDBACK/SUGGESTIONS at the time and had people stalking, harassing me on other sites at the time too.

I ended up leaving, I came back and the site had died. Was recreated. Site died again, came back with the previous layout, site went again right after a new layout.

It exploded with bots/trolls, and ended up being rolled back and cleaned up.
The layout broke, was repaired and all was fine.

Then there were more former FFE members (and/or their friends), attacking the site for kicks.

It's a long story really Smattle, so I do have to agree with Garland.

They were assh*oles, or as Garland put it - douches. The crew, the members... Everyone.

Their idea of a good time, was attacking people for no reason. Back then it was basically home to trolls and mega-trolls, the site lost it's focus from Square and became that before it eventually moved back to what it is today. Sure, there is a lot less activity but the members are a hell of a lot more polite than what they used to be.

Overall, it was a hellhole unless you were a douche.
