if this is just your simple drawing, i'd love to see what a real, finished piece would look like. good stuff

These are quite lovely. They give me a slight Amano sketchy feel to them but with less...blah from him. Truly I don't know if coloring them or deepening the line would improve them, tbh. They are a joy to see as is. I've love to see more.

All I can say is wow.. They are very well drawn and have a serene feel to them. Nicely sketched. I don't even see anything that can be done to them... Like what OT said. Seeing a more worked on piece by you would be a pleasure indeed!!

The detail and proportion are spot on. And the group sketch- They all have different personalities, way to go. My only gripe is that these are only sketches- have you developed a style for colouring yet? If not, don't be afraid to start one! And post coloured work!

Aww, thanks so much guys.

I don't really draw with anything except pencil =/, don't understand pen, too messy for paint, too lazy for computer, though I've tried color pencil.

If anyone is willing to teach me how to "complete" a picture so-to-speak, I'd be very grateful =3.

I could attempt. The drawing would be crap since I'm not really that great.

Well, there are some really good tutorials on the internet, but a good way to develop your own thing is to take the basic concepts from them and just do the rest yourself through endless practice. Don't say you're crap at something, just do it over and over and over and try to learn from what you don't like in the past.

A place that would be good research is ConceptArt.org Version 3.0, which is a site of professional artists and not-so-professional artists- Don't be intimidated, just dig in and soak it up.

Wow, I can't say which one's my favorite because they're all pretty cool. Do you have a graphire tablet? You could do some pretty wicked stuff with one.

Thank you for the website recommendation Chrazie, hopefully I'll be able to learn something from those artists.

Thank you for the compliment Nutty, and I don't have a tablet, whatever that is XD.

I have an Intuous, but a Graphire works fine and it's cheaper.

Aibbie, google Wacom Tablets.

You should invest in one- any graphire will do. They are AWESOME for digital painting, and you can't really paint on the computer without one, unless I'm horribly naive and there's some magic mouse program.

Heh, that would definitely making drawing on the computer easier than using a mouse.
Unfortunately, they all seem to start at $100 =/, for me drawing is simply a hobby, something to do during math class when the teacher rambles on for too long, expenses greater than a $15 sketch book seems pointless.

I love the first picture. The other pictures are wonderful, but the first one hooked me I'd really like to see that one inked or something. You really know how to use a pencil though, very nice artwork, very niiice.

It's obvious you have enormous potential to make something more breathtaking than sketches (amazing sketches, dont' get me wrong) and I want to see it! Please.

You're obviously an experienced artist! =O

Of course your scanner lets you down by eating all your lovely shading and exposing harder pencil lines, but as far as structure and detail you strike a good balance.

I take it you don't like drawing feet if you can avoid it, and though you have chosen some exceedingly difficult angles to deal with you seem to have the right kind of visualisation to pull them off.

Critique? I'm having to think about this one, but I suppose if I had to choose something I might suggest more care needs to be taken with proportions. A couple of them look a little off, though these are trivial errors in a field within which improvement is -always- possible.

[EDIT] Forgot to add:

I feel work like this is more than ready to move beyond the sketch phase if you are willing.

I like the ideas you put into your drawings. It reminds me of Angel Sanctuary, which is one of my favorite mangas. I don't see many people doing this type of art.
