Finally found my old character for this!
Name: Marryn
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Species: Valkyrie
Appearance
Marryn is a very beautiful looking woman. She has long golden hair that reaches almost to her waist. Her skin is pale, but looks slightly yellow from the radiance of her hair. Her eyes are an abnormal blue colour, but have a gaze that would catch any man’s attention if he is weak minded.
Here’s a picture showing what her clothing looks like:

Note that everything else other than the clothing is different. She also has a large pair of wings on her back, which disappear when there is no use for them. Her body is slender and Marryn is a little shorter than the average woman in their twenties.
History
It is said that Valkyries were 'spirits', for lack of a better word, who would watch over great battles and chose who should die. It is said that they live in the great Valhalla, where they look after the dead warriors, preparing them for the time when Ragnarok comes.
Now, however, there are very few of these Valkyries alive. They live on a floating island, unseeable by mortal eyes. Here, they keep the dead in check. Having increased their knowledge of necromantic powers, they can raise and banish the dead with ease. So they watch over the earth, keeping an eye out for dead that should be kept dead.
Marryn was brought up as such. Sworn to protect the world from the unholy. She was trained in the art of necromancy and was a formidable warrior. She inherrited the three relics, which were supposed to be further gifts from Loki to the other gods. The Sword of Ruthlessness, The Shield of Purgery, and The Armour of the Gods; each one imbued with special powers Marryn is yet to discover. Marryn spends a lot of her time now, banishing the dead who have been brought back to walk upon the earth. She's gained much respect, yet she has also made many enemies in the process.
Upon returning to her home, she has discovered some troubling news. Activity from the dead has been increasing dramatically, mainly in the rural areas of the land. The Valkyries fear that some Greater power is behind all this. So Marryn was shortly sent back down to investigate further.
Abilities
Re-Animate Dead: (ORPG Only) Marryn can summon the dead, but only in places where there have been dead people. Old battlefields or fortresses, or any war sites like that are the best places to call up the dead. They dig themselves out from the earth, and they are a very fearsome sight. Their bodies are half-decayed and have many lost limbs. However, a liquid-like substance replaces the lost limbs. They constantly wail and moan, sounding like a hundred people drowning out in the ocean. These are very much like zombies, just mindless beings completely at the mercy of Marryn.
Banish: Marryn can banish any summons from her opponent as soon as they have been summoned. In ORPG’s she can banish any of the “weaker dead”, such as zombies, etc, etc.
Fly: What do ya know… Marryn can fly!
Necromancer’s Honour: This ability decreased damage inflicted by the average dead foe by half. Against the more stronger dead, this will still decrease some of the damage inflicted by them by a reasonable amount. Mere scratches or slashes that barely hit Marryn won’t affect her at all. However, a direct hit would cause a considerable amount of damage upon her though not as much as the same attack from a living creature.
Wyrm Seeking: (ORPG Only) Marryn can look at anyone and tell if they are possessed by any form of evil beings. This also gives her the ability to detect where any form of “dark” creature is located. This means she’ll know if there are any vampires, werewolves, or any other such creatures nearby.
Weapons
Sword of Ruthlessness: This sword looks exactly like the one in the image above. It is unbreakable, and when wielding it, Marryn will show no mercy when fighting her opponent. This sword deals almost twice the amount of damage any normal sword could inflict.
Shield of Purgery: This shield can also be used as a lethal weapon. A retractable blade is hidden beneath the shield. The blade is twice the length of an average spear point. The blade is unbreakable, though the shield isn’t. If the shield is broken, the blade can be taken out and used in close range combat like a hunting knife. The shield is resistant against magic, and can handle more physical damage than a steel shield, but only a little more.
Armour
Armour of Gods: This armour was forged by the dwarves in the times of the Norse gods. It is said that it was to be one of the gifts of Loki, but he had hidden it for reasons only he knew. This armour had lost a lot of its original power, but it is still stronger than the average knight’s armour. This armour is also very light, due to the magic the Dwarves had imbued within it so Marryn can move about freely and swiftly without any discomfort.

Oh! Might I add that those who wish to use magical characters. In a lot of places, such characters will not be trusted, as in this time magic is considered to be evil. So, in a lot of places, you'd probably have people being burnt if they're suspected of using magic. However, there are a number of places where magic is still practiced. These are in the smaller villages, where people believe that magic is the only way they can survive against the 'dead'. So, if you do have a character who possesses magic, you'll want them to keep that a secret when we're in the bigger towns/cities.
Also, limit your characters abilities. Make it five at most. Each character may evolve throughout the RP, by learning new techniques, or simply just getting stronger. I find it makes it more fun to play that way.
