Default Final Fantasy Plush Toys / Merchandise

Since I hadn't seen a topic or any images of them posted here, I'd thought I would post a photo of some of mine.

I'm locating more as I type this... most likely going to get Carbuncle soon and am getting a custom-made Moomba toy.

Those are all official plush toys:

Final Fantasy XI:
Mog/Moogle, wings have metal in them and can be put into movement and can stand or sit.
Goblin
Mandragora (Also featured in Final Fantasy XII)

Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon - Final Fantasy Fables, Chocobo Tales:
Boco/Boko reading The Adamantoise and the Cactuar, as seen in the game

Multiple Games:
Cactuar (specifically said on there from Final Fantasy X), has metal inside the plush toy and can be put into it's signature movements.

They look a little funny, as I had just taken them out of the packaging and the Cactuar was really badly squashed. Poor thing, at least it couldn't get me with it's 1000 Needles then.

Plush toys with metal wiring inside them? O.o
The Mandragora looks a little odd... Why is it black...?

They're still super cute! I wish I had some FF plushies to share, but I have none T.T I really want to get my hands on a tonberry some day.

Only the Mog/Moogle and the Cactuar have wire in them. It's to pose them, the Mog/Moogle's wings can be put into certain movements but it also helps them retain their shape, the Cactuar has wire inside it's arms and legs to put it into it's signature poses.

The Mandragora are also known as Onion Children or Evil Tarutaru, there's the common white Mandragora or the stronger, generally harder to find black Mandragora.

The white Mandragora plush is harder to find than the black one though.

hells yeah! Tonberry is awesome, super dangerous as a master tonberry, and still maintains to look cute for the audience.

I'd love to have a FF plushie myself as well. Those would be so much fun to collect.

There actually are Master and standard Tonberry plush toys, a few different variations of their designs too that have been seen across the series.

I'm currently trying to track down some of the Summon and Monster plush toys, if I can get my hands on them then I'll post pictures up.

Does anyone here know whether there is official SE-Merchandise featuring 1:1 sized characters?

Not exactly for this topic, so I'll change the subject title. Yes, there are 1:1 sized characters. Most of them are in a small box, often containing either a poster or a limited trading card. They're now hard to find due to Chinese-made knock-offs hitting the market. The figurines depend on what release group they were from, whether it was simple a statue or a jointed figurine. Majority of these smaller figures are of Final Fantasy VII characters, with a couple from IX, X and VIII.... the characters are also not marked on the box - random figurine in the box basically.

They also had extremely small ones which were prizes from machines in Japan, as well as promotional figures for Coca Cola and other marketing plans in the past. Majority of these smaller figures are generally harder to find, until SE re-release them depending on their popularity (the IX ones were re-released).

I do believe there has been a misunderstanding.
I meant 1:1 as in 6ft. Squall, etc etc.
I have seen that kind of stuff for other games, most are fakes but some are official...So I was wondering whether there is real-life-sized merchandise from SE....Sorry if you got me wrong there... (Also, sorry if I got you wrong there, but it seems you are referring to something else)

Well, next time please put in more details. ((I've been working on rendering and 1:1 just clicked to the small size and really, 1:1 could be any possible unit unless stated otherwise)).

But yes, there are real-life sized merchandise from SE.
In the Japanese SE building, they have a life-sized model of Sephiroth in a case that has been lowered into their floor, in a local building/store there's a life-sized statue (not exactly statue, since you can pose him) of Laguna Lorie that gets swapped around every couple of weeks with one of Solid Snake.

The life-size ones are generally promotional only, however some SE staff have sold some off over the years and they tend to rarely come up for auction due to there only being a small amount of them made.

But yes, there are official ones however the majority of them tend to be life-size wax models and any official models that are of the actual materials tend to just be put into storage. I do know of a couple of official, life-size Fenrir models floating around but I haven't heard of them since they dropped off the radar in Japan. Overall, they're expensive, hard to find.

Sephiroth in the SE Store Floor (Wax Model one, extremely doubtful that they'd remove it and sell it in the future).

Usually 1:1 indicates real-life-size >_>
However as stated before I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've seen some promotional stuff, but never any merchandise
I tried tracking something like that down but didn't get anywhere

Not for everything Smattle. 1:1 could be a ratio put to pixels or really anything, depends on the actual use for it. Like I said, I've been doing rendering and crap so it automatically clicked to certain sizes.

You need to get some contacts in order to find any of this stuff, generally the promotional stuff is classed as limited merchandise as it's not always for free.

Not for everything but in general.

I bet you could hook me up from somebody that has "access" but then again I'd probably have to learn some weird language in order to communicate with them...and I'm so not up for going all over the ko-ni-chi-wa stuff again

I know, still if I've been working in different size ratios all day it's not going to click instantly.

You would need to know Japanese to talk to them, aside from that you could try and contact the European Square-Enix office and ask them about official merchandise and try and get a contact number for an importer and dealer close to you and they could try and track down the life-size merchandise.

I live in Estonia....most of the stuff you can get your hands on is either ripped, or imported from Germany/UK...
Not much hope to find a official importer around this area....closest would probably be in Finland.

I don't know any Japanese apart from what subbed Naruto and One Piece episodes have tought me

So basically it's yosh, itadakimasu and moto moto ...lol

The closest importer would be in the UK then, overall your best bet would be PlayAsia then for importing any SE merchandise.

I normally go through them or nag for merchandise serial numbers so I can track things down through importers and manufacturers.

It's worth going through, just do a search on Final Fantasy or whatever SE series you're after and you'll end up with merchandise listings or you can choose the sections (books, figurines... etc).

It's quite handy, and SE also release a lot of stuff through PlayAsia that doesn't end up in their SQEX Store.

((Thanks, I just mashed together some RE:UC artwork, made a wallpaper and then took a section of that wallpaper and made myself a signature. XD))
