Default Looking for Older Games, DVDs and Accessories

I'm currently trying to track down additional copies of a few games, as backup copies so here is the list, preferably PAL Region and only first release versions (No Big W, Platinum or other secondary releases). Also, a couple of DVDs too. The list will be edited, games that I've gotten will be put into a green colour. If anyone has any of these listed and the specifications, please either post your price and show me the condition of it OR drop me a PM.

I would suggest looking a few things up on ebay :]]

No credit card, parents are also refusing to lend me their ones too.

Plus, I've found that a lot of the games from the Hong Kong eBay tend to be burnt/bootleg knock-offs.

I would tend to consider not lending a credit card to a woman with considerable interests in games, and the intention to visit ebay, as an reasonable act. =P

However that's what paypal was invented for :]]

I've never bought anything there, so I am not to judge that.....
Usually my needs are fullfilled by ebay.com or .co.uk :}

Bah, stereotypical comment. I rarely buy stuff and if/when I do get anything from e-Bay I tend to find the cheapest sale possible to save money.

It's just that I need to replace discs, get back up copies of others and I actually work and use my own money instead of borrowing from parents and/or friends meaning the money would be coming out of my own pocket (as it should) towards replacing games that have been: stolen, lost, never returned, damaged during moves... as well as getting extra copies for the "Just in case" scenario.

Paypal or Moneybookers are both pretty good for tranferring money fast and secure, if you don't have a credit card...You have to watch out when buying on ebay with Paypal though...I've had cases where people claimed to never have recieved the goods and Paypal would refund them directly, without even a notice. (Highest amount I lost that way was something around 500$) but those cases are rare.

Stereotypical comments about women and credit cards never get old.

The collection of games you have has to have reached a scary size if that's just a list of those you want to replace O_o

I know, that's why I tend to double-check everything like a hawk on eBay because of people pulling that crap.

*Sigh*

That list is nothing in contrast to what my collection used to be... a lot of stuff has been stolen from me or damaged (not by me, generally accidentally during moving) over the years and I used to have boxes upon boxes of games and merchandise. Now, I have to get it all back and continue getting new stuff for it all.

I am truly sorry for your loss.

Double checking is good but doesn't work if someone decides to claim his money back via paypal...pissed me off big time back then when I was trading with games / trading cards regularly on ebay. But in the end there is only so much you can do...

It's fine Smattle, I understand what you mean about that. That's why I tend to ignore Paypal when selling things online.

I believe that I might have tracked down the first Silent Hill, Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow as well as Metal Gear Solid 2 - Sons of Liberty. I just need to find out what's happening with the copy of Silent Hill before I make any offers, as from what I've seen it hasn't got a case...

I appear to be going alright, I'm thinking about tracking down the PC versions of some of the MGS games as well as adding the Capcom Fighting (like Capcom VS SNK) games to the list since I bought a copy of Capcom Fighting Jam on PS2 today. Haven't started playing it yet though.

I think I might have my hands on a RE4 Limited Edition GameCube, I have to pull it out of the box and have a look at it to make sure that it's the right one as it's not marked on the box.

That would reduce it's value by a considerable amount.

Technically, not. If it's removed from the box properly and not just ripped out... it can be placed back into it's packaging and re-sealed. Technically, considered Mint unless it's actually been used.

As far as I know, as soon as the OP is broken it's considered near-mint, at most

Considering that I can look at it in it's packaging, the box it's in was never sealed up and it's been sitting on a shelf of a game store for a few years (the boxes that you get your consoles in are generally sealed up by them instead of the manufacturer) so it's completely free of stickers and everything.

The packaging is apparently foam and surrounding the GameCube itself is a plastic wrapping, all I really need to do is take it out of the foam and have a look at it without opening the plastic (because it's clear plastic) or damaging the box or the foam and it's fine.

I doubt it to be the ltd edition, since it probably would be in the special packaging, and usually none of the ltd edition consoles go out without a proper sealed packaging. But if they let you look at it, then I can only wish you good luck :]]

They're heat-sealed in the game stores before they go out, I know that for a fact. That's what you would call "proper sealed packaging" but the actual stuff arrives within boxes, in their initial box and whatever else is inside (foam, plastic... etc). It's just that there's a particular GameCube that's the RE4 limited edition, but there's another GameCube that is featured in one of the RE games that wasn't produced in a large quantity. So I need to actually look into both of those models.

Very funny, I'm friend's with the owner of the store so it's fine for me to have a look at the merchandise. (Got to love those little back-alleyway game stores).

At the moment I'm trying to track down a PAL copy of Capcom's Haunting Ground. On Thursday I should have my hands on Resident Evil (REmake/REbirth) on the GameCube and hopefully I'll have found out what's going on with the first Silent Hill game I found the other day.

Oh yes those are great...too bad there's none in the country here

Sidenote: Shorts/panties with "You touch it" on the back and "You buy it" in front would make great sales :-D

Ah crap, located Soul Calibur III but the disc is pretty crappy so I need to get ANOTHER replacement copy of it (PS2).

((And Smattle that last part of that post was uncalled for)).
