Well, when I get my stuff and such for being a Game Designer (Graphics and Story), I wanna do a Anubis game series sometime.
The basic story is that Anubis (which is Egyptian mythology, the death god) is the Gatekeeper that connects our world with the "afterlife". Or, well, his duty is to ensure there is no "connection" really. He maintains border control better than the USA... or so until one day. For some reason (which is explained as the game progresses, I don't like gray ares that much), the Grim Reaper wants to unlock the gate to unleash "shadow creatures/demons" from the "Afterlife". His purpose, in the simple form, is quite obvious, to control our world. His reasons are explained as well later in the game.
Now, Anubis is the gatekeeper, but also the "Key" that controls access of the gate. So, as such, the Grim Reaper challenges Anubis by striking first (unprepared). In case you are wondering, the Grim Reaper is more or less looked at as the messenger; or deliverer of souls to the gate, but not as the keeper of the gate. Out of a fairly big brawl, the Reaper was able to somehow gain the lead and overpower Anubis.
Anubis then dazes out, only to awaken to a slight tickle from a blade piercing his chest. The tickle soon turns into a a deep pain as the blade digs further, and the sloppy cutting becomes reckless. He gains most of his vision only to see that the Reaper was using scythe to carve out a symbol on Anubis's body. He was attached to a large
Ankh. As the Reaper stops carving, he hits the end of his scythe to the ground, resulting in the carvings emitting a glow.
This glow causes much pain to Anubis, yet seems to cause a reaction with the gate, having it appear to them. Another tap with the Scythe causes a connection to be drawn, as a mystic energy link connects from Anubis to the gate. At this moment, Anubis knew what was to come. Trust of the Reaper was confused, but then vanished. And then the final tap startled fear and intense pain within Anubis, as the gate's barrier lowers. The gate has been unlocked.
Thousands if not millions of dark evil spirits and demons come pouring out of the gate, flying past Anubis. Creating scars both physical and mental. The Grim Reaper succeeded in being able to use Anubis as a tool to open the gate. Before more damage could be done, Anubis used up his remaining strength to unleash himself, and escape from the chaos that would have fully consumed him. However, the Reaper wasn't done with him...
